Denny's - Gilman

Had an old friend to pick up. The waitress respected our time and did not hurry. Good food, a little expensive for a simple breakfast. Only 2 pieces of bacon as a side order.

I had the cinnamon roll pancakes, and they were fantastic! This restaurant is located in a Pilot truck stop. While I was there, I met someone whose motorcycle was stolen. It was interesting to hear that Walmart had reached out to interview him because the officers had checked the report. How cool is that? The Pilot truck stop is accommodating enough to let him bring his bike into the store. I hope they can get a bike rack soon to prevent theft. Also, he looked great in his Chicago-themed shirt and matching shorts—definitely something for the city to be proud of!

The restaurant is now open, and the food exceeded my expectations. Although the service was slightly slow, the staff was friendly and welcoming.

I really enjoy visiting this restaurant! The waitress is consistently friendly and engaging. The food is always prepared exactly how I like it. I also want to mention that even when I worked there a few years ago, the place has remained well-maintained and clean. One suggestion I have is that they might benefit from having more than one cook in the kitchen, as it could help speed up the food preparation, especially for larger groups, since it tends to take a while.
