Bidra med feedbackI have visited this restaurant multiple times, but this time the service was awful. It took a while for a waiter to come to my table, even though a female waiter had already spoken to the couple seated next to me. Then, I had to ask for a menu and waited ten more minutes before my order was taken. The restaurant was also not very warm, so I had to put my coat back on. The food was okay, but I don't think I will be returning. They really need to work on improving their service!
I ordered takeout from this restaurant as I was staying nearby. The service was quick and the food was delicious and filling. If I ever stay in the area again, I would definitely order from here again.
I decided to bring my significant other to this restaurant to try something different, so I suggested we try Japanese cuisine instead of Chinese. We ordered vegetable tempura and tonkatsu curry, both of which were cooked perfectly and the tempura was delicious. It was a quiet mid-week visit, and at one point we were the only ones in the restaurant. The service was very timely and personalized. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Ordered meal for by deliveroo chickenramen, huh fried rice and huh teriyaki rice bowl. all that arrived was terrible. please see the picture and the size of the Teriyaki rice bowl next to the complementary soup. this court was the special fried...rice was blande with a little chopped carrots, mais and exalted with the huh and rice and a tear. the noodles were similar to a disappointment noodles and huh in broth no sweet except a little Chinese leaf above, with a half boiled egg. Iiban clearly does not care about his customers. I called to express my disappointment and explain what a terrible meal after my family decided to kidnap us. Woman on the phone very pleasant and said she would ask a manager to call me back. No one called me so I never return.
Ichiban in the West End of Glasgow used to be our favourite place to enjoy sushi and Japanese food. Then it decided to go fusion with the menu diversifying to a variety of Chinese and Pan-Asian dishes. Not surprisingly, the quality of the food suffered....We avoided it for over a year. This weekend, we decided to give it another try, primarily as we needed to eat somewhere in the vicinity of Byres Road. To our pleasant surprise, Ichiban in the West End has returned to its original mission to deliver sushi and Japanese cuisine. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The decor remains casual. The food was truly delicious and well presented. The prices are very reasonable. Ichiban is back! Recommended!
