Bidra med feedbackThis is a newish restaurant in Bentleigh so thought we would give it a go. Although not licenced for BYO as yet expecting it to arrive. The food was fresh and very tasty. They were flat out when we arrived with Uber eats lined up. The service a bit hap hazard, but friendly. They mucked up our order of Hanoi rolls and gave us ordinary spring rolls, but then produces Hanoi rolls for us on the house. Which was unexpected. Lights are a bit bright, we had to ask for the music to be turned down, which they did. We really enjoyed the Pho, so early days for them, wait till they find their feet. Yes I will go back. Good value
Popped in on a Thursday night for a bite to eat and was very impressedHad the Hanoi fried spring rolls which were delicious, I seriously could have ordered 18 plates of these and been very happy! The pork belly came out next and was so soft, well cooked and in a very delicious sauceStir fried veg also was awesomeApparently they're new to the area and from the many uber eats bags getting filled up during our short dinner they seem to be quite popular with the localsExtra point for the 90s hip hop playing and the chef coming out for a chat to all the customersWill be back!!!
The food was good. the chef was accommodating with my food allergy. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. And I will say it again the food was really tasty. We will go back.
This is brand new addition to the Bentleigh shopping strip and has been open for two weeks. I want to be kind because they are just finding their feet BUT there is a lot that needs to be improved. As keen consumers of all things Vietnamese, my partner and I eagerly decided to visit for a Sunday brunch (11:00 AM). We were greeted warmly and our drinks order taken quickly. At this point we were the only customers. His green tea arrived within a couple of minutes, my order was forgotten. It was only when two other drinks were being made for new arrivals that I heard them saying "Wasn't there a skinny latte for the first table, too?" It was actually a skinny cappuccino! I had to ask for sugar, none on the table. My beef pho came at that point - it was exactly the right size. Points earned for not always serving pho in a pudding bowl. The waitress then gasped "Oh, you need the vegetables (mint leaves, bean sprouts, lemon slice and chili). There was a slight wait while she was seen to assemble the forgotten dish. Had to ask for serviettes - again, none on the table. The broth was uninspiring, despite adding the extras and some fish sauce and hot chili sauce. I was disappointed in that it was "OK" rather than up to the special experience pho can be.His banh mi pork roll was made, and brought to him, when I was about half way through my soup. As described on the menu (a single sheet of paper thrust at you), it was made with a pork patty. This just did not work. Much better is the sliced bbq pork version at the bakery a few doors along the street, the true pork belly version at Springvale. He did not finish the roll and that says everything!I do hope this café gets things right in the future. They need to tighten their time management and to remember the importance of the small details. The blaring music was quickly lowered when I requested. I leave with the impression that once was enough. Neither food nor service is good enough to bother coming back.
The food from A LIttle Viet was yum! We celebrated a birthday at home and I pre-ordered lots of spring rolls and rice paper rolls as well as servings of chicken pho soup and it was all lovely. Everything was ready and packed up when I arrived to pick the food up. Friendly staff.
