Bidra med feedbackI had brunch here with a couple friends and it was lovely.
Wonderful experience at brunch here this morning - such fresh, quality ingredients that you can taste in every bite.
The price of $69 for high tea wasn't justified here. I think they need to go to a high tea to see what the standard is. We were all starving after this meal. We were here for a friends birthday. After booking, she had to pay a deposit and then was asked to pay for the whole bill before we even went. We were told we had to keep to a strict timeframe but there weren't that many other customers when we were there. The presentation was superb. The only savoury parts of the high tea were tiny slices of cucumber and tomato with nut cheese and a tiny sprout of micro herbs, what the? The brilliantly coloured cakes weren't that flavoursome and really all tasted the same. The blueberry cheesecake didn't taste like blueberry? The only standout was the mint slice in its minty goodness. There was just too much cake. When the first serve was brought out, I thought oh, this a good start. The second round was the same, but included a chocolate tart which was lovely, but every cake had the same texture like thermomix overdone. We had two different types of tea, but had to chase up the second serve, we had been forgotten about. The "Kombucha mock tail" was terrible. Just tasted like coconut water. Unfortunately, we are all Kombucha makers and were expecting fizzy, fruity fermented goodness. It was brewed with just black tea, and added was coconut water and elderflower and fruit. Tasted like nothing. The straw was one of those paper ones that collapsed after drinking a sip, certainly not an expensive accessory. I must disclose that we had many foodies, home Kombucha brewers and wholesale organic purchasers and coop members, so I can't really reconcile the cost with what was served. Essentially cake, 4 pieces of cucumber and a couple tomatoes, couple cups of tea and water. Considering we could pay the same price for a feed me option until we eat until full, or feed the whole family or at least walk out with an average meal but be full, $69 was exorbitant. We weren't welcomed, they seemed to forget about us and I had to buy food on the way home. When you compare this to places who do well, like the veggie bar, this place doesn't compare. People will travel for amazing food and excellent service. This place has potential but has to review it's pricing, service standards and amount of food. $560 total value for our group was not received.
Very mixed experience. The only really good thing about us visiting Street Organics was that they were open on Good Friday and, at least partially, that they claimed to serve and sell organic food. While eating in, we had an open smashed egg
Had a very relaxing coffee with an Anzac based slice. Calm organic atmosphere with lots of salads and vegan food on offer
