There are far better restaurants for burritos and soups, such as Julioberto's (for their kartato-egg burritos), Herrera's (for chorizo-egg and bean burritos), Garcia's Las Avenidas (for the best menudo and caldo), and Carolinas (for chorizo-egg-potato and bean-cheese burritos). In conclusion, Mixteca falls short of expectations. Aside from the fish tacos, the rest of the dishes are overpriced and seem to be getting stingier with portion sizes. They provide less food in their burritos, soups, and quesadillas while charging a premium, leading to a frustrating experience for customers.
