Chess Park Lounge - Glendale

The salads were served with the entrees, which meant we had two large plates in front of us at once. When I mentioned this to the floor manager, she suggested that we should have just pretended to eat the salad first before diving into the main dish, displaying a lack of accountability. I received my salad, but my main course never arrived, and neither did the glass of wine I ordered. Eventually, I had to flag someone down to follow up on my meal while everyone else was already eating. When my main course finally came, there was a mix-up, and it turned out to be someone else's steak, though they did let me keep it to make up for the delay. I requested to have my meal taken off the bill or to receive a complimentary round of drinks, but neither of those requests was fulfilled.

I absolutely love this restaurant! The customer service is outstanding, and the bathrooms are impeccably clean. The food is delicious, and the music is wonderful—not too loud, making it easy to have a conversation. I've been here three times this week!

Service was slow, entrees came over 40 minutes after the appetizer finished, the fish ordered was dry as it sat under a heat lamp for a very long time, total bad experience, mediocre food and service for a via price menu, not back

This was my 3rd visit. My prior visits were nice, the place was newly opened and the customer service was great. Yesterday I was very disappointed for the seating. I had made reservations for two. My friend I did not like the seats and asked to be seated somewhere else, the waiter said the others were reserved for larger parties. While we were still dining, those seats were occupied by 2 people, similar as us. We were seated next to a larger group, they were so loud and so close to our table, my friend and I were not even able to hear each other. And this was not because of the live music, the band was playing, the volume was normal.
