Bidra med feedbackI've always heard positive things about this restaurant from friends at Arcadia and wanted to check it out. My roommate and I were in the mood for some brunch one late Sunday morning, so we chose to dine in. It is such a tiny little restaurant with a perfect at-home feel! I was comfortable and relaxed while waiting for my food, wondering why I had never walked in there before. The menu was not long, but the options for breakfast were very unique. I'm a huge fan of eggs and all things savory for brunch and I always like to try new things. I went with an omelette that had Lancaster bacon, smoked gouda cheese, and granny smith apples! It was really tasty and the flavors paired perfectly together; not one overpowering the other. The home fries are the way to go because they have a mix of plain and sweet potatoes! The portion was extremely filling but I had to fit in every last bite! I enjoyed my experience at Anne's so much and recommend it to all breakfast lovers. Glenside has some really great hidden gems, and this is one for sure! I would love to come back in the future and try their sandwiches for lunch as well.
Welcome to small town Americana! This is a cozy little restaurant in small town of Glenside. Nestled near a score of mom and pop shops all with in walking distance, you'll almost feel like you're going back in time. Throw in a friendly staff, and classic rock tunes like The Beatles and Dylan playing on their radio, this a great place to relax and enjoy good food. Theres also stocked bookshelves if you're by yourself and want to learn something new. They have a big and varied salad selection for you hippie and green types. They've also got a good selection of wraps, soups, and sandwiches. The staff is super friendly and the food comes promptly. Metered parking right outside, and unlike the city, .50 cents will give you enough time for meal, dessert, and chit chat. I might be a little generous in giving them a 5 star rating after only 1 visit, but they gave me no reason to give them anything less.
This place is solid. I 've been maybe three. times, but also had them provide a catering tray for a meeting I held. The sandwiches are very inexpensive and are all interesting flavors or takes on classics. The entrees all look delicious, and I can confirm my lamb mousaka was excellent. I 've only had the gazpacho soup, but soup is their thing .... And they always have interesting soup options. I typically don 't do dessert, but it was a birthday dinner... So I had the Nutella cheesecake. It was fantastic. There are always a number of dessert options that look tasty. The only recommendation I would have for this place is to get into cold soups. With the outdoor seating it would be great to have a cold soup when the temperature is over 85f. I had gazpacho the other day only to try their soups and it was the only cold option, but I 'd usually try more adventurous soups...
We've frequented this place often since we moved here almost 4 years ago. It's one of our favorite spots. They now have brunch hours on the weekends and it's our go to place.
Whata hidden gem of Glenside! When I was a sophomore at Arcadia my roommate introduced me to this place and I'm hooked! The food is a little pricy but understandable since it is a small family run business. I usually just go with my mom when she's in town for lunch. The soups are a must for me, they change every time I go but seriously all of their soups are amazing. I've had both salads and sandwiches there as well. Both are very tasty. I've only had a pastry once and wasn't really a fan. I got the cheesecake and it just didn't do it for me. There isn't much seating in the restaurant so don't go with a big group, that would be a pain. It's very cute with books and a fire place and the entire staff is very friendly! Street parking: It is only 25 cents for a hour hour
