LOVE THIS PLACE!!! We only make it a couple of times of year, but it is a real treat each time. It is a soup and sandwich place with the most amazing desserts in a 200-mile radius. EVERYTHING is homemade, including the bread for the sandwiches. The service was excellent! Sharing the receipt because we got so much good quality food for the price. Lobster bisque was full of lobster. Roast beef sandwich was a special day, and it would melt in your mouth.

Everything about the experience was marvelous. From the meal to the clothes and shoes, I enjoyed every minute.

Salad and soup great, Bread pudding was disappointing.

I absolutely love the food at this restaurant, but I have to say that the owner/manager can be quite rude if you don't have a reservation. It would be nice if they could be more welcoming to those who are unfamiliar with their reservation policy. The wait time wasn't too bad, but the rude behavior of the owner/manager made us not want to support their business. It's a shame to see potential customers being turned away because of their attitude.

It was redonculousky good as usual. Remember make your reservation in advance for 11 am when they open and bring your appetite. We always try to get the quiche trio special. Not served every day so ask. It is not on the menu. You get several choices to pair with the quiche. Today was ham and cheese quiche with delicious flaky homemade crust. For soup I chose wild rice and mushroom. This was mother's mother's day present. We drove almost a hour and a half. She chose lobster bisque for her soup and race the whole time she ate it said it was the best ever. For salad I chose the always awesome creamy delicious pasta salad and mother chose the house salad with the house dressing. You also get a fresh baked roll with butter. We both cleaned our plates. No big deal for myself but to my awe mother cleaned hers and was ready for dessert. She is 88 and finishes a small hamburger with great struggle. Not today she ate like a long haul truck driver. Now time for dessert. It was a hard decision but we both chose the coconut meringue pie. If you like carrot cake well they had the piece de le resistance of carrot cake with mega amounts of homemade cream cheese frosting. I wouldn't kick it out of bed it looked fabulously delicious. I regret not getting a piece to go. Forget my diet. This is a serious place to go on diet cheat day. There are gift shops to peruse and they offer lots of things to buy. I think they have three shops on the premises. You will enjoy all the good food
