Salvatore Trattoria Göttingen

The pasta was nice but, compared to other Italian restaurants in town, wasn’t superior. I didn’t like they had so little options regarding pasta, as well. I think it’s a good place to eat Italian pizza, that kind of stuff. Also, the restaurant seems nicely...decorated, but it was very full of people so we couldn’t enjoy it’s nice ambiance. The waiters were very nice and friendly. Because of this, I gave it stars, but I think it should have a couple less tables to increase the ambiance, and also increase the quality of the pasta. But maybe their aim is not to emphasize in the pasta but rather in the pizza... in that case, I think the pasta options are good enough.

Tiny restaurant, nice service, pleasant atmosphere, good wine... and finally a decent pizza baked in a proper stone oven. The bill was pretty fair for a restaurant in the downtown. Looking forward to going there again.

The meal was exceptionally delicious. My companies had ravioli, I had the fish of the day with salad on the side. They did not have anything glutenfri on the menu, but they fixed me a dish with fish and vegetables. The service was friendly and...personal.

I went to Trattoria Salvatore to catch a quick Italian meal. And that's just what I got. Had a pizza which was ok, but not exceptional. The place is very noisy. I had a table in the back and on the other side of the...wall was the kitchen. Very loud and uncomfortable. Staff was inattentive and was busy with other, more regular, customers. If you go here: ask for a table in the front part of the restaurant. Also possible to take food out and buy wines and olive oil the import directly form Italy.

The Restaurant offers really few options of food on the menu.. And despite there's a lot wlof wine bottles on the wall, surprinsingly there's NO WINE MENU. When we insisted to know about the wine options, they had.us waiting a lot und just brought a...bottle that we didn't order, without giving the price (there was mo price for the wines in the menu). It was a good Barbera D'asti, but not outstanding and too expensive for it's price. The food was nothing especial. But the worst has to be mentioned: theatrical and RUDE service, a la italiana Will auf jeden fall not go back.
