Saturday night is open to public Private dining room of boutique hotel, beautiful japanese decor mixed with modern touches in a heritage stone building.

Our dinner at the Australasian was just perfect. The three course dinner started with soup, which my husband finished leaving the bowl as clean as ever. The main and the sweet were also very very good, incorporating interesting flavours and creating a balanced culinary experience. I have not had such a perfect dinner and quality of cooking for a while. The service was attentive and welcoming.Thank you to the Chef; your matcha mousse sphere with passion fruit center, and the white chocolate with cumin were also 10 out of 10.

Celebrated an important birthday staying in the Island room at The Australasian with a beautiful dinner at the in-house restaurant. The food was enjoyable and the service good. Do think that coffee/tea at the end of the meal should be 'free' rather than having to settle a bill at the end of the meal - seemed a bit mean given the cost of the weekend.

We thought the food was wonderful with great service. The atmosphere was pleasant and we enjoyed sitting outside on the private decking for the first course. I'm allergic to seafood and every care was taken that I knew what I could and couldn't eat. We'll be back!
