Bidra med feedbackIt was amusing, but the prices were outrageous. Eight shots and eight beers totaled up to $170, which really threw me off. I only gave it two stars because I did enjoy the dancing. I'm actually considering going back tomorrow to complain to the owner or manager. I suspect the bartenders are overcharging everyone. I'm not sure if I'll return after this experience.
New to the area in North Carolina, I was looking for a nice place to eat. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from the start. We were greeted by someone who seemed unfriendly and suspicious. When we went to pay, we were surprised to find out that it was cash-only—really? In 2022? It felt like someone might be trying to avoid paying taxes. We had only nine dollars on us, and when we mentioned this, the woman at the counter rolled her eyes and dismissed us. I wasn't aware that the whole establishment operated on a cash-only basis, but because of the rudeness we encountered, I won’t be returning. I’ll be looking for somewhere else to relax. Thank you, but no thank you.
The dance floor and decor are stunning. For the first two hours, we enjoyed great two-steps, East Coast rock, and other enjoyable traditional dance music. However, around 10 o'clock, the volume increased and the dance atmosphere changed significantly. This place seems to cater more to a younger crowd in their 20s and early 30s rather than those looking for traditional country dancing.
Edit/Update 7/2022!!!! Still loves the place... Friday only!!!! The DJ (Chris) makes this place great and it is worth returning! He counts you and plays line dances, 2 steps, triple steps, a little swing. Basically he knows what he does!!!! I'm gone on Saturday and it's just a guy who plays melodies like someone could be replaced by a pre-programmed playlist... Know your customers and take care of the crowd, not a HipHop club or a Wanted Country Club. Isn't that a country community with the biggest dance floor?! That's why people come to dance country-style dances to danceable country music. If you know, you know! Great place (and seems to be the only place) actually DANCE to country music (two steps, swing, line dance). Big DJ holding you on the dance floor. It is smokey and can be hard to find a place to sit at times (go early if you want a seat). The younger, rudering, obnoxious children roll around 11 and more hip hop and less land is then played. Good drinks, fair price.
Garrett is a great bartender and does an amazing job. The drinks he makes are always perfect and he sets a great atmosphere for the bar. We need more good bartenders like that.
