Contreras is a first-rate place for treats and gifts for every food lover. From the shop windows you will note a delicious array of cured meats, cheeses, jams, and olive oils. In a small back room there is also a small, yet well-arranged selection of good wines as well. This is a great place to find a gift, yet probably an even more ideal stop for picnic supplies before heading for a nice day in the park.

This place is great. We regularly buy bread and jams from them. The other day though we had a wine, cheese, oil and ham tasting. It was remarkable. The owners and staff are very nice and knowledgeable. Lots of the product is local and of great quality. Highly recommended.

I spotted this place while walking along the street with my family just exploring Granada and decided to check it out since we were looking for a place to buy some wine and olive oil. The place has an array of wines from regions all over Spain (and not just the commercial ones). In addition it has select olive oil, Iberic ham, olives, and tea that is all extremely good quality. After talking with the owner for a while about the wines, we asked if we could try a few, and ended up doing our own private wine tasting that included two bottles of wine, an assortment of fine cheeses, select ham, fresh bread, and gourmet olive oil, just for the three of us. The owner is extremely nice, knowledgable about his products, and appreciates good food that you won't find just anywhere. If you are looking to do a tasting, buy some olive oil, or just experience Spain at its best, go to this store!
