Long time Diner, for the first time Reviewer. Bill, Jean and the staff have brought out a wonderful selection of high-end sandwiches, cookies, desserts, soups and treats. My favorites are the boxcar and the engineer . Funky place to meet people for a fun lunch, or just call and go a great lunch.. Nice old building in the middle of GI. Eldest son goes there every time he's back in town.

The food was very good! The atmosphere was great and the staff was friendly and cheerful. I would recommend this place to anyone who hasn't tried her wonderful food.

Loved the environment and excellent food. Highly recommend. The back room was beautiful. I forgot to take pics of the back room but it?s a must see.

I?ve arrived at Sutter deli several times at 2 pm or a little after for lunch when their hours state they close at 3. I?ve been turned away several times stating they?re about to close and they can?t serve us. Very discouraging to keep coming back whenthis happens often.
