Anchor - Grand Rapids

The staff is friendly, but the music is excessively loud, making it a bit overwhelming. The drinks are just what you would expect.

I always visit this place whenever I'm in Grand Rapids. After reading some other reviews, I just want to advise against taking silly recommendations like ordering a double bourbon. If you order a double at Anchor, you end up getting the same drink but charged for two servings.

I highly recommend this place as a great dive bar to chill at. The music can get a bit loud, and it can get crowded at times, but that's part of its charm. The drinks are always reasonably priced, and the bouncers are friendly. It’s an ideal spot for pregame or postgame festivities on a night out.
