Captain D's - Grandview

I love Captain D's. I love the food but here's the deal. They need to work on cleaning the place. The floors are always super greasy and as a person who has a significant other who is visually impaired it's very hard for people to get around on a very slippery floor. The manager is always wonderful. The staff are always very polite and willing to go above and beyond to make your visit Pleasant. Only thing I bad that I could say is that they need to work on cleaning the place.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the experience exceeded my expectations. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was surprisingly good for a fast-food seafood restaurant. The hush puppies were excellent. While the fried okra wasn’t to my taste, as I’ve never been a big fan, the fried fish and shrimp were outstanding. My daughter ordered the lemon pepper white fish served on rice, and it was definitely on par with sit-down restaurant quality. Although it’s a fast-food place, the food was impressive.

Tatiana greeted me warmly when I arrived and patiently waited while I decided on my order. The special offers on the board are both affordable and generous. My order was prepared quickly, taking only about 2-3 minutes. The fries were perfectly golden, but the fish was darker than expected and had a taste of old oil. The lobby and restrooms were clean, and the drinks station was well organized.

The restaurant offers great value for the price. I ordered both fish and chicken; however, the chicken was tough and a bit dry, while the fish was excellent. I'll definitely go for the fish next time. My parents had the crabcakes and they enjoyed them immensely. Overall, it’s a good value, and the young lady at the front was quick and professional.
