Vampire Penguin Granite Bay

I came here with a party of two on Saturday 07/16 around 5pm. There was no line and some guests dining in but still plenty of seating available. I ordered a Large Halo-Halo Shaved Snow. This tasted really good and I thought the mix was great. However, I would add a scoop of mango ice cream to truly portray a traditional Filipino dessert. We also got the Dulce De Leche Shaved Snow. The flavor on this was ok. The bananas etc paired nicely. Both of the Shaved Snow had a beautiful soft texture. The service was ok, communication was there however the service was a bit slow.

Absolutely love this place. I love their shaved ice. I always end up getting there Mexican candy

Love Vampire Penguin!! We come quite often and it is always great. We do the dessert not the Poke. Our favorites are Mango, Honeydew, or the orange dreamsicle. Make sure to get a scoop of ice cream inside!!! I think the reviews about service are one offs or just people who expect too much but they've always been friendly when we come in. Highly recommend

Walked in and a very dull lady greeted my friends and I with a monotone hi what can I start for you? almost under her breath. I could barely hear her. There was no Poké available and the lighting was dim. The whole place smelled weird and there was no decoration or music. Super off-vibes so decided to go elsewhere.

So I ordered poke which was suppose to have tuna, salmon, and yellowtail but they were out of yellowtail so I asked if I can just have extra salmon because I didn 't want tuna. He says no because salmon costs more than tuna so I was forced to have salmon and tuna. Which makes no sense because yellowtail costs more than both salmon and tuna so I should 've been able to have just extra salmon. Anyways at that point my stomach was begging me to order something already so Im like okay whatever, when did you order the fish? He says today but the fish was not tasting fresh, Especially the tuna. Oh... Now I see why I was forced to have that **** in my bowl. Also, I wanted lettuce instead of rice and guess what. I got rice. I ate it anyway. Sauces are not thought out at all. They got 3 sauces. Each sauce had mayo mixed with something else and that 's it. Mayo with sirracha, mayo with sesame seeds, and mayo with wasabi. I wanted to laugh but I kept my cool. Maybe they 're uneducated or maybe they just want to make easy money. Avocado was not ripe and tasted like it was microwaved so that it 'll get soft. Nice try guys. Who do you think you 're fooling? I feel so disrespected and hungry. Good thing they 're next to a bunch of good restaurants with better food and prices. I should 've known not to go there when I saw that their store was the only one with 1 customer. Me.
