Bidra med feedbackWe visit this restaurant quite regularly as I think they have some of the best Thai food. We decided to have my father in laws 80th lunch here as we love it so much. For a small kitchen and small family business they did a great job. Everyone went away happy. We have in laws from Melbourne who are fine diners and they have been a few times as well and love it. Don't let the pub put you off..a bit outdated..or you'll miss some great food.
Having just returned from 2 years in Thailand, this was my first Thai meal in Tasmania. While the service was good and the food hot, this is not Thai food. The entrees tasted like they were from a $6 frozen Coles box of mix Asian entrees. Stir frying some veggies with lumps of meat served with rice is not Thai food. Way to many western style veggies which were served the same in most dishes. The food was heavy the Pad Thai was way too fishy with dried shrimp, this was without a doubt the worst Pad Thai I have ever had any where.อาหารไม่ดีผมจะไม่กลับคืน
Unusual location for a Thai restaurant in the Exeter Pub. Decor very dated but to be expected in a rural pub. Reasonable selection on the menu and the food was very tasty and enjoyable and was also reasonably priced. We visited mid week but I expect the noise levels from the main bar would be high Friday and Saturday nights.
We have been here several times. Initially was excellent food and excellent value for money. More recently standard of food has decreased.
I love dropping in, even unannounced, and be welcomed and shown to a table. The food is cooked freshly after I order. The chicken cashew meal is served with rice and has tasty tender chicken pieces and a good serve of vegetables. Tasmania has fresher and healthier meat and vegetables than Thailand, some people say, so this is the way to enjoy Thai cuisine without having to travel abroad. The other dishes are delightful too.Wine or beer are also available. There is free drinking water, so I help myself.I also telephone my take away order through and it is ready when I arrive.
