St George's Diner - Gravesham

This is a lovely cafe. There are loads of choices on the menu and it's a nice spot to chill out. It's not the cheapest cafe in Gravesend but the food is always good here. Friendly staff are always pleased to see you.

We visited this diner with kids. The menu is brilliant, so many food combinations to choose from and of course you are welcome to customise your plate too. Prices reflect the variety on your plate and offered choices so in that respect they seem okay. However, we felt overcharged as some of the ingredients are of such poor quality or just carelessly cooked. The eggs were a huge disappointment, pale like if these were from caged hens, and so overcooked, tasted like rubber. And the salad, smelled just as if it was washed in dirty water. Or just off cuts! Enjoyed sausages and especially the mushrooms were nicely fried but baked beans seemed so sweet, almost inedible. We won’t be returning again to this place I’m afraid, almost half of our food was left on our plates so not good economy.

Come here for the first time in a number of years, the food was still of a good standard and well presented. One issues the resturant had a number of flies due to the windows being open due to the heat. More expensive than other local places and of a similar standard.

Stopped in for the first time today had scrambled eggs on toast a full english. Served promptly food was hot, the scrambled eggs were fine however staff did not ask if preferred brown bread so not sure if its an option. The full english had bacon that was some of the saltiest I have ever encountered the sausage was not particularly good quality. The diner was not very warm, but appeared clean. Would we return probably not as more expensive than Wetherspoons who do a fantastic breakfast for less money.Would have been happy if ingredients had been better quality/ standard.

I Always come here whether it's for a quick Latte or one of there gorgeous lunch/dinners. The staff are friendly and the diner is always clean and tidy. Just love there cheese ham and mushroom omelettes. Would never go anywhere else now x
