It seemed like Terry was managing the entire place on her own, which may not be entirely true, but if it were, that’s quite a workload for one person! I had envisioned breakfast being more like a sit-down restaurant experience, but it turned out to be a small buffet offering tasty options like pancakes, eggs, breads, cereal, and fruit. If something needed to be replenished, it could take a bit of time before you would see Terry to refill the coffee pot or eggs. While it wasn’t a major issue, it's good to know that the atmosphere is quiet and not bustling with staff. On the plus side, they do have a room available 24/7 with a Keurig and hot water for tea or coffee, which is nice. The entire property is carpeted, but the carpets could use a refresh. Even the common area bathroom has carpet. During our visit for a family event, I wanted to apply makeup but found the lighting in the room to be quite poor, making it difficult to see. If you plan to wear makeup, I recommend bringing your own mirror for better lighting, although this might be specific to the room we stayed in. The bathroom did provide essentials like shampoo, conditioner, soap, and a shower cap. There were also some baked goods at the entrance, which were a delightful treat. The owners seem to have a good sense of humor, as evidenced by an urn labeled “Ashes of Problem Customers.” I hope I don’t end up in that urn after this review! Overall, our stay was positive. We didn’t spend much time in the room, and it served as a comfortable place to sleep. I simply wanted to share a realistic perspective for anyone accustomed to more modern amenities.

This inn is wonderful, featuring exceptionally friendly staff. You should definitely stay and enjoy your time here. Upon check-in, they greeted us with delicious homemade cookies, which were too tempting—I ended up having more than just a couple! I simply couldn't resist.

We particularly appreciated their thoughtful accommodations for our toddler, including a high-chair, a tailored breakfast for a picky eater, and a selection of toys to keep them entertained. Additionally, they managed a large family dinner with remarkable professionalism, ensuring that every guest felt welcome. We are truly grateful! Our room, Lady Troy, was spacious and included a private bathroom with a tub, a mini-fridge, complimentary breakfast each morning, and free WiFi throughout the property. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore everything Great Barrington has to offer, as well as the attractions in Stockbridge and beyond.

Lovely Inn with breakfast and spacious rooms. Owners were so friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to stay there again!
