My daughter's wedding was at Stoneridge. It was beautiful! The food was delicious and the staff did a wonderful job so that we feel welcome.
As someone who has been a weekly golfer at Stoneridge for over 6 months, I will leave my review based in practice facilities, course setup and environment. Stoneridge practice facility includes 1 practice green and 1 driving range. The practice green allows putting and chipping. It's a 60 feet long green that allows for several different types of strokes, from short putts to long putts and chips up to 20 yards around the greens. I noticed that the cup positions have not changed since I first practiced there months ago. The driving range allows for shots up to 200 yards meaning some players might be restricted to hit some of the longer clubs. The grass is usually cut to a 2nd rough cut. The range balls are mostly old and used to a degree that the ball flight is negatively affected. The 18 hole course is a par 70 with 6590 yards from the blue tees. It's a setup that calls for a variety of tee shots and a lot of lay ups for the great amount of trees and hazards. The grass is usually in fast conditions, specially the greens and fairways. Players should expect small greens that really require a sharp iron play. The environment is sad, it feels like an abandoned place sometimes. The course is empty most of the time. The club house is often closed and there is no golf shop. There is only a few items for sale in the front desk. The staff certainly could make it more professional and welcoming. I recommend Stonerigde to every golfer around central Kansas who is looking for an 18 hole round, I believe that for the 28 dollars it offers a good golf experience. I don't recommend Stoneridge for golfers that are looking for a place to practice as I believe the practice facility doesn't have what it takes to help with any parts of the game.
Great golf course beautiful spacious banquet room also a classy dining room and a relaxing full bar. There is brunch on Sundays that is open to the public. Aswell as many events coordinated to the general public. Yes it is a member club but not completely exclusive. Many changed have been made over the last few years. Proud to call Stoneridge my place of employment. Wonderful staff great fun work environment. Come join us for one our our events.
I really dislike leaving negative reviews, but I have to say that this is the worst golf course I’ve ever played on. I paid for 18 holes but ended up quitting after nine. The course is so overgrown that it took me over 10 minutes to find my ball after hitting it onto the fairway. It was frustrating to see that the lawns of the homes surrounding the course looked ten times better than the course itself. At times, I considered aiming for the houses just to enjoy some nice grass. Honestly, when I called, I thought the place might be closed because no one answered. If you refund my money, I’ll take down this review.
