The Butchers Arms - Great Dunmow

We were very disappointed with our meal on Valentine's Day. The service was rude, and the food quality was poor. The dishes did not match their descriptions. We will not be returning.

The staff was friendly and attentive, and the dining experience was delightful with a wonderful selection of dishes. However, I didn't notice any vegetarian options, so it might be worth checking beforehand. The presentation of the food was beautiful, and the service was excellent.

Before visiting The Butchers Arms for Sunday dinner, I was excited about returning. However, my experience on Friday afternoon was disappointing. Even though the restaurant wasn't busy, we waited an hour for our food (a salad and a sandwich) after our arrival, and the quality did not meet my expectations based on previous visits.

These places were recommended to us by a friend who lives in front of location. we were on the high season and wanted a nice Sunday dinner before we returned to london. eating and service were amazing, 3 courses for £20 is incredible worth. I had the pork roast and it is highly recommended. I will make the trip from london again, it would be worth the trip! had in the heart of one of the best frying dinners I've ever eaten. if I could improve a thing, it would be salt and pfeffer grinder not shaker, or at least ground pfeffer, then it would be perfection!

Went for Sunday Lunch and was very impressed. 2 course menu £17, 3 course £20. Sufficient choices of starter, main and dessert. Food quality and quantity very good and excellent service (attentive and good humoured). A little out of the way but definitely one to go back to!
