Black Bear Diner Great Falls

The server was very friendly, but it took an unusually long time for my order to arrive, especially considering the restaurant was quite empty. The food seemed poorly prepared, as if the cook had simply stopped paying attention. My meal was filled with inedible items. The sausages were overcooked to the point of being burned, and the pancakes were soggy. The grits had a grainy texture and an unpleasant taste. I had to leave without finishing my meal, but my insulin had kicked in and I was feeling unwell. The server kindly offered to remake my food, but given how it was originally prepared, I could only imagine what else might be off. I paid my bill and left, hoping I wouldn't get sick.

My expectations were higher than I had anticipated. I have a similar restaurant nearby, but I hadn’t had the opportunity to try it. I dined here and ordered the grilled salmon, as I'm trying to eat healthily while traveling. I’m giving this place 3 stars mainly due to the poor service. I waited about 5 minutes for someone to take me to a table, even though they saw me and were aware of my presence. The restaurant wasn’t busy, and there was no one else waiting for a table. I also waited 20 to 25 minutes for my food to arrive. The meal was average; the fish was good, but the beans tasted like they came from a can, and the mashed potatoes were overly heavy. However, I will say the potatoes themselves were real and quite tasty.

Amy was our server, and she was fantastic! She was super friendly and very helpful with all our questions. She frequently checked in on us to ensure we were well taken care of. They even made some fresh cakes for us since they had run out!

About 15 minutes to close, but they sat down and I ordered a soda and the 14 oz Porter House Medium rare. The food was taken out quite quickly. The salad was delicious. I love the papal Habanero sauce. I used this on my French fries. I enjoyed my food.

I ate breakfast at this restaurant today , and it was Amazing!! I highly recommend the delicious bear paw shaped blackberry stuffed French toast. It's incredible! The bacon and eggs taste fresh and perfectly cooked to order. The coffee is perfect as well. Our server was friendly, and did a fabulous job serving us and the rest of her customers! I recommend you try this restaurant and find your favorite menu items too. This restaurant also features beautiful bear carvings and decor. It's great for hungry bears of all ages !
