Holiday Inn Great Falls-convention Center, An Ihg

We had prepaid for breakfast with our reservation, but I wouldn't recommend doing that again. We received coupons for use at the on-site restaurant, but the food was only about 2 out of 5 stars, and it took us an hour to be served. This is not ideal on a road trip. The rooms were decent and adequately clean, but the attention to detail in maintenance and repairs was lacking. It will be a difficult decision if we decide to make this trip again. The pool is a major attraction, but I'm not sure it outweighs the other negatives. I should also mention that there is remodeling happening, although it didn’t affect our stay at all. If you enjoy disc golf, there’s a course at the park next door!

We visited this location for a training, and checking in was quite a hassle. It took some time to get the right rooms with the correct names assigned. Although there was a restaurant available for meals, there was no coffee bar in the morning. I ended up paying $3.75 for a cup of black coffee to go. The rooms were equipped with single-serve coffee makers that didn't accommodate travel mugs. Although we were informed that the property was under construction, the renovations seemed incomplete; the rooms appeared only partially remodeled and not very appealing. The work done was inconsistent, with paint splatters on the floors and a mix of new and dated fixtures. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. I was in a room with two beds, but there were only two towels in the bathroom, along with one hand towel and one washcloth.

Check-in was easy and quick. The rooms were decent, and the bathroom was nice. However, there was no breakfast included. The pool was fantastic, though! My family really enjoyed the slide. There were plenty of snacks available at the small gift shop. We decided to grab breakfast from the hotel's restaurant to take back to our room. The chef, Tony, did an excellent job—the food was delicious! Kudos to Tony! I would definitely stay here again.

I found this hotel to be very clean and comfortable. Although there were renovations happening, they didn't disrupt my stay. The bar and casino were definite highlights. The restaurant offered excellent service and delicious food. There was one gentleman at the front desk who truly enhanced both of my visits. His customer service and friendliness went above and beyond my expectations. I would like to personally acknowledge him by name: Frank Bollich. Darci Ellefson.

The check-in staff were friendly and thorough, and we enjoyed a nice, comfortable room, especially since we were on a quiet floor. Although the hotel is undergoing renovations, we found everything we needed easily accessible. We appreciated the little touches, like the pump-style personal care products, the labels indicating soft and firm pillows, and the rewards promo offered at check-in. The pool area is fantastic, featuring a waterslide, a large hot tub, and plenty of seating. The only downside was that the kitchen closed an hour earlier than we were informed, due to being short-staffed. While this is understandable, it would have been helpful for the front desk to communicate this to new guests. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and will definitely return.
