Bidra med feedbackThe appetizers are extremely overpriced. Moreover, the kitchen seems to cater to its clientele in a way that results in poorly executed versions of Laotian recipes. I was disappointed with my experience, having tried the Laab and Papaya salad. I've encountered much better versions with larger portions at local Hmong New Year events and other restaurants for half the price. I recommend looking elsewhere if you want authentic dishes.
I had a wonderful dinner with my partner at Lao! She had heard about it and, after checking out the menu, I knew we had made the right choice. We ordered the wings, purses, green papaya salad, and for dessert, the sweet mango rice, which was absolutely delightful! The flavors complemented our drinks perfectly; we had La Paleta and a Margarita, and I particularly loved the roasted coconut rim on the Margarita. The flavors were outstanding, and the atmosphere was quiet and intimate, allowing us to enjoy our conversation without interruptions. We couldn't stop raving about how incredible the flavors of our dishes were! Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and provided great information about the meals. I can't wait to come back and try the sausages and the larger plates on our next visit!
The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the food here. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the flavor of the dish was outstanding. The money bags were a real treat. Just to mention, the food photos were taken after everyone had already started digging in because they simply couldn't wait! Highly recommended. The service was excellent as well!
Large overall Danny experience. The chicken wings and the Laab were both good recommendations from the waitress. The food came out pretty fast. Love the spice options when you warm.
First time been there. My son who lives in Greensboro was recommended by friend, and he took us while we visited him. The restaurant was in the middle of downtown among with so many other restaurants. Entrance was quite small but after passing long corridors, the dining room was there. It was our first time to eat Laotian food. So we asked for recommendations. All the food was quite spicy yet it was really tasty. Lastly, we ordered sticky mango rice. It was sweet and very nice.
