The Lost Cajun

It's great that they provide tasting sample before ordering. The fried seafood is excellent, the breading is light and crispy. However the beignet is big, but just ok. The Gumbo also not that impressive.

I had the shrimp and grits! It was very good! The service was exceptional! I will definitely go back next time I'm in town!!

My 1st time at the lost cajun. It was so much better than I was expecting. I am from New Orleans and all the food was spot on. The flavor was perfect, the gator bites were cooked perfectly, my jambalaya and shrimp poboy were awesome. We finished off with beginets. Plus a bonus they had Abita beer. Made me miss home a little less. <3

We ordered the seafood platter. It was good. It came with little pieces of garlic bread, one hush puppy, 3 pieces of fish, 4 shrimp, two oysters, French fries, and cole slaw. For about $22 and 3 beignets for about 5 dollars. The seafood platter was good but I would not suggest sharing, just get your own. The beignets threw me for a loop. The beignets were hollow on the inside with a whole lot of powdered sugar on the outside. I will not order them again. They didn't taste good at all. The service was dull and the restaurant had no life. The server kept yawning. The servers played on their phones and gave poor service. No frills. I did not get nor was I offered the sampler flight!

We had a really great experience here on an overnight thru the area. We travel a lot and really rely on the reviews to help us figure out a good stop when you only really have the chance for one stop. Overall the local reviews either seemed outstanding or harsh We were very pleased...it is not New Orleans but felt the dishes to be fresh, well prepared and representative. Would recommend you to enjoy too!!
