Orienta - Greenwich

This place is just really solid, but definitely pricey. The food is very good, the server we had, who had been there since the beginning was knowledgeable, friendly, and on top of his game. We had a nice outdoor meal (I’ve eaten indoor which I didn’t love but it was fine). Unfortunately, the tables outside were on a pretty severe slant but, overall it was really really good. I was really excited to find that they have Vietnamese savory crepe (Bánh xèo) because it sounds promising from reviews and reputation. Unfortunately, for anyone who knows the authentic Bánh xèo, this is not it. I understand this place is supposed to be fusion of French and Vietnamese food, so does it tastes good even though it’s not authentic?? Not really.. the crepe was too greasy and salty, didn’t think turmeric flavor helped the whole dish at all, sauce was too sweet and salad on the side was off in terms of flavor. My husband ordered “duck with soba noodle”, another dish it sounded and looked promising yet very off in terms of flavor. Contrary to underwhelming food, service was nice. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful.

What an amazing restaurant with incredibly delicious food. I had the Soba Noodles W/ Duck and Vegetable Dumplings. Love it, especially the Duck. Highly recommended. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The pho soup and cauliflower rice is so disgusting I couldn’t even eat it. It tasted like I was drinking a bottle of soy sauce. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
