Bidra med feedbackIf not for the location, I would not recommend this hotel at all. We had a bitter experience due to baggage retention policy which was too old differently earlier at a phone call to the reception that they will hold on to the baggage for few days of our interim travel to Scotland. I did not manage to get the name of the person who confirmed. When we had to speak with the receptionist supervisor, the response was pathetic, rude. I am even agreeable with the policy they have and may be the person spoke with us earlier dint knew it. But the way the staff who were in charge (30th May 2024 7AM) spoke to us, it felt they should not have been qualified to be in hospitality industry at all. Besides, nicer staff at restaurant or even the accessibility of the place we felt we shouldn't have booked this place at all. They didnt even suggest work arounds, any contacts to storage places nearby or any helpful contacts to manage the situation. Lucky that we had a friend in the city who helped us pass the baggage to a storage location as we were in hurry to rush to our pre-booked Scotland travel. It created a trauma, and we had our child with us at least they could have been bit more considerate.
Not a good experience. We opened the door of the first room and a terrible, terrible smell hit us. We went in but couldn't find the source. The carpets are terribly stained, and everything looked unclean other than the bed. The smell was so bad it was difficult to take a deep breath. We obviously went to reception and requested we change rooms. This happened without issue. However we went to the next room, and again it was very unclean. There was hair in the bath and a huge stain on the sofa. Aside from the lobby, which is nicely and recently done, I cannot see how this hotel has a 4 star rating and also how it charges as much as it does. We decided enough was enough and left the hotel. As it was pre-paid, we also lost the money we paid.
Fantastic hotel , happy , friendly staff, lovely food and all round well worth the money to stay here , will use time and time again .

I recently stayed at the Novotel hotel (173 185 Greenwich High Rd, Greenwich, London, SE10 8JA, United Kingdom) and, regrettably, it was a disappointing experience. I had stayed there from 2024, May 25 to May 30. On the day of checkout May 30, morning 7 AM, the front desk personnel seemed uninterested and unhelpful, making baggage storage a frustrating process. And they denied to provide the Manager's contact number when asked. I was met with curt responses and dismissive attitudes. It felt as though my presence was an inconvenience to them. The state of the hotel room only added to my dissatisfaction. The room was not clean; there were lots of visible stains on the carpet, the TV wasn't working and no response after informing to service desk. There was no improvement, and my concerns were largely ignored. Overall, my stay at Novotel was marred by unprofessional staff (one of the staff on May 30 morning 7am) and subpar cleanliness. For a hotel that positions itself as a reputable and comfortable option, it failed to meet basic standards of hospitality and hygiene. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a pleasant and hassle free stay. There are many better options available that truly value their guests' comfort and satisfaction.
