Nola Gumbo - Gretna

I've dined here several times and also tried the huckabuck. The gumbo has a unique and authentic New Orleans flair, and the huckabuck is a delightful addition that rounds out the meal. I've had plenty of gumbo that claims to be the best, but none come close to being as good as this place. The food here is consistently fast, delicious, and exactly what a visitor needs. If you don’t believe me, give it a try; I promise you won’t be disappointed. Oh, and don't forget to try the ribs—they're finger-licking good!

Not a bad spot. Went with some friends and got some ribs and the garlic Parmesan wings. We got everything fast and we were in and out. Great place to grab some decent food and be on your way.

I called to ask a question, and the guy on the phone told me they no longer serve food before hanging up on me. I'm not sure what this place is all about, but their rudeness has turned me off. I'll be looking elsewhere.

After reading the reviews I was really excited to try their gumbo. I was extremely disappointed the chicken and sausage gumbo was a tomato base not from a rue. The other gumbo did not have any seafood in it and little to no meat. The rice is minute rice this is by far not original New Orleans food. The chicken wings were very small and the breading was soggy like wet bread. The grill cheese that they raved about was not buttery and the cheese was kraft American slices. I cannot believe I paid 60 dollars for less than average food that claimed to be so good. Never again. I know what gumbo is supposed to taste like considering I am from New Orleans and live close to this place.
