There is nothing quite like this place, sitting at the foot of the mighty Eiger North Wall. We have stayed here many times through various changes of ownership. The current owners have upgraded the place but maintained the traditions. The bedrooms are quite small but very much out of Heidi. The restaurant serves good, traditional mountain food, the beer is good and the service is good. What else do you want? You can watch the cows come in for milking at the farm next door; see the fires being lit under the milk boilers at the cheese makers. This is the real Alps and if you feel energetic you can walk the Eiger Trail.
