Dish - GROSSE POINTE

I wasn't impressed at all. The pasta I had on my last visit was simply topped with dried oregano. A basic rule of cooking is that dried herbs need to be heated; otherwise, they can taste raw and gritty (and I really do like oregano). I also tried a few other dishes, but they were just disappointing.

I've ordered from Dish twice now, each time trying different items for both myself and my husband, and we are absolutely thrilled with how delicious the food is! Even the desserts are amazing! My husband is quite picky with what he eats and doesn't eat meat, but he hasn't had a single complaint about anything yet. I find myself looking at the menu every week to see what new dishes are being offered. The food isn’t rushed; all four dishes and two desserts I've ordered have been incredibly flavorful, and the portion sizes are just right. It’s fantastic to have such a great restaurant right in our neighborhood!

We have always enjoyed the food from The Dish, particularly their salmon dishes, and considered it a special treat to get takeout from there occasionally. However, on Thursday, 9/8/22, we decided to try their baked cod and were extremely disappointed. The fish had no flavor whatsoever, and it was served on a bed of basmati rice that was equally bland. The only redeeming aspect was the roasted cauliflower florets. As seniors living on a fixed income, we felt that this was a major waste of $40. We’re uncertain if we’ll go back. Avoid the cod!

I ordered from a picture online. What I ordered they didn 't have. The person that took my order said, go to our website , so I did. Even better! I got the chicken and mushrooms over rice. It was flavorful, and fresh, and so good. Then I see the chocolate cake with nuts and cream. Yes please, and thank you. Five ?!
