Pizzeria Al Drago - GROTTAMINARDA

Just returned from a fabulous meal at this restaurant. I had visited Al Drago a few years before when it was in a different premises, as I have family local to here. The new improved restaurant is a giant leap forwards. Charming and modern, with brilliant service and staff, plus the same excellent quality of food. Had their 4 pomodori marinara plus patatine on the side. Immense. The dough is wonderfully light and chewy, with lots of attention to detail with the toppings, and a few nice touches such as using local Ravece olive oil. The patatine (chips are a must have. There’s likely loads of other fried things which I bet are amazing which weren’t vegan so didn’t try. Genuinely one of the best pizzas I have had in Italy outside of Naples. Being vegan in southern Italy is pretty easy, but I really appreciate when restaurants clearly display allergens. The restaurant was pretty busy on a Wednesday evening, and parking was simple enough around the corner. We managed to get a table without a reservation, and the staff were friendly, welcoming and polite. Don’t sleep on this place. Well worth a visit.

Meglio ballare vecchia posizione. Ho trovato la pasta diversa, più croccante, mi piace lo stile del classico napoletano. Mi aspetto di piu', pizza nei media.

Sempre il massimo.....pizza deliziosa.....servizio eccellente e grande disponibilità.....e la friggitoria è qualcosa di eccezionale.....

Eccellente qualità, servizio e cortesia; e non è neanche costoso. Serata di pizza con mia moglie, tutto perfetto, abbiamo preso due pizze fritte, DELIZIOSE!!!
