Taqueria Del Sol - Gualala

Wife and I had just driven into town. I didnt want to drive anymore, and they were exactly where they needed to be, right next door. This place is a hidden treasure! Best Chile Relleno I have ever had! The standards for future taquerias we visit, just went up a notch. Thanks for making magic!

Cute little mom and pop restaurant. I got the flautas and a horchata while the rest of my party got the burrito and the California burrito. They are still doing outside seating only and you have to order through a window.

They only have take out which can be eaten at one of the four park benches they have set up) during the pandemic. We had lunch. I had the carnitas plate $16) and wife had the 3 spinach and cheese enchiladas $15). Nearly every Mexican food restaurant I go to I order carnitas...so I've seen it prepared all sorts of ways. However, never this way see photo). I get it, some people like to eat the fat, so I have no issue with leaving it on...but once I peeled away the fat and separated it from the meat there wasn't much there. The taste was rather OK. I would give the place 3 stars based on that, but wife enjoyed the enchiladas so I bumped to 4 stars. Didn't like the fact they charged $2 for chips and a small thing of salsa and $2 more for another salsa.

We drive all the way to Gualala from Mendocino at least once a month for their fish tacos. They are so good and taste very fresh. Everyone who works here is very nice, and the outdoor seating area is cute. We can’t wait to go back!

Friendly service, delicious food, and a charming little outdoor picnic spot. I found the enchiladas suizas to be outstanding and I really loved the watermelon juice. I also heard the fish tacos are fantastic. You place your order at the front, and then they bring your food to one of their adorable picnic tables, some in the shade and some in the sun. The ordering process is quick and easy, and the food is tasty and satisfying. I will probably come back before I leave!
