The Withies Inn - Guildford

Not as charming as the outside, but the food is decent enough for a quick bite.

I recently dined at the Withies Inn while on a business trip to the UK and absolutely loved it. It's a type of restaurant that we don't have many of in the US.

This restaurant comes highly recommended, but be aware that they automatically add a 7% tip to your bill regardless of the service quality. I gave it three stars for its location, decor, and food, but the service was lacking.

Great food and service. We requested a special dish for our visit and Hugh kindly provided it. Excellent Rack of lamb!

I was disappointed by the food quality. My food was not cooked throughly and I had to send it back. The waiter was very accommodating and immediately confirmed that the food would be removed from the bill. On the positive side there were plenty of staff to serve.
