Cw's Family - Gulfport

They have now become self serve. Not worth going. All the work for your food. Don't recommend it at all. I will not be back after eating there for almost 4 years now.

Some Sundays after church, I look for non-institutional restaurants for brunch. CW's has great reviews on Google and isn't far from my home so I stopped in. The restaurant was filled with families also enjoying Sunday brunch. The ladies at the counter were warm, friendly, and welcoming. The menu has delicious chicken, pork, beef, and seafood selections!! I enjoyed a delicious CW Burger that took me back to the hamburgers my daddy used to make, big, juicy and full of flavor. And don't get me started on the HUGE onion rings ! Needless to say, I was full and will return with friends in tow!!

Lunch break for me and my admin team and decided to try this place as it was locally owned and the place that was here prior to CWs was really good. As soon as we walked in, I figured it would be best to turn around, but some of the best places to eat are a hole in the wall eatery, right? How wrong could we be. I ordered the grilled chicken breast with mustard greens. My team order pork chops and the shrimp platter. The shrimp platter actually didn't look too bad, and she said it was pretty good. My plate was horrible. How can you mess up grilled chicken? I'll tell you, by putting absolutely NO seasoning on it during cooking. It was the most bland food that I've ever eaten. Thank goodness for the hot sauce for the greens as they were bland as well. On top of this, it took a good 45 minutes to get our plates and we were the only people in there. The fried green tomatoes had to be sent back as they were a soggy mess. I always try to find something good to say, so here it is: the unsweetened tea was good . Do not, do not, do not go to this restaurant. Food and wait time are horrible.

All u can eat shrimp fish isn’t really all u can eat (says the cashier). Which is false advertising! So I got a to go fish and shrimp plate. Literally a half hand full of fried salad shrimp with no seasoning, just fried. My pieces of fish were a little bit bigger than a catfish nugget and it was only 3 pieces of those. $16.99 a piece. I purchased 2 of these dinners. Which the cashier just took my money I do believe because she put it in her pocket and gave me change from her pocket! Once I made it to the car me and my husband open the bag and both looked at each other in shock. We both said oh no! Took the dinners back in and they said they can’t give me my money back but they can add a lil more food. That’s what they said the owner told them to tell me. First time going and last time going that for sure!
