Bidra med feedbackGreat service from our waiter. LOTS of choices on the menu. Probably about 80 or more. The food came out fast, was hot, and delicious. I also was able to customize my food with the choice of meat. I only gave them a 4 because no one was in the front when we arrived and it took over 5 minutes for someone to come and seat us. This will be my go to for Mexican food in Gulfport for now.
What a Mexican restaurant. We arrived about 4pm Mexican music playing inside with lots of Mexican artwork. Not many customers. We were immediately seated. Great friendly server, staff and manager. The food was amazing. The carbon nachos were delicious. Large pieces of chicken, moist not dry. The cheese, beans, and meat were even distributed over the nachos very few didn't have cheese and beans. I added the shredded lettuce because I don't do guacamole or Pico, which normally comes with this dish. The presentation of the plate was good enough to take a picture of. I love food, so delaying my eating for a picture says a lot. My wife had a chicken fajitas salad. No complaints on her end. Great portions. My daughter had the fajitas machete (picture). It's like a quesadilla with fajitas ingredients. Talk about the size! She was able to finish half. The meat and veggies were steaming when she cut into to it with the cheese just spilling out. She even took a picture of it. Needless to say, for Gulfport, this is a must go to for Mexican food. Can't say enough about the friendly staff. The only reason for not a 5 star was e cleanliness of the men's bathroom....maybe someone couldn't deal with spice.
The atmosphere is nice and clean. Food was average and service slow but not horrible. I would recommend other restaurant for tastier Mexican food.
Sorry to say, the only redeeming quality is the service. Very friendly and putting up with my wife's poor spansh, our server was a gem. The food was, to put it bluntly, dreadful. The green pork chili tasted of little else but vinegar and cumin, the red sauce tasted like watered down Pace sauce to the point of being Italian rather than Mexican according to my wife. I'm afraid I can't recommend this place for their food.
We were skeptical when we first arrived at this restaurant, but it was the only place open and that didn't have a 45-minute waiting time to get a place. this ended up eating a really great place! the food was very good and the service was the same. drinks were also very good. they can not be better for Mexican foods than el agave in one of them against gulfport and environment.
