The Blue Marlin - Gulfport

Overall it was a very good dining experience. The service and staff were courteous and kind. The appetizer was excellent. The entree was good but not excellent. I will definitely return again.

We had a reservation for 7pm on Sunday. After being seated at our table for over 20 minutes without being greeted by a waiter. No drink order, etc we walked out. They had a total of 4-5 tables with other guest. Not acceptable. I understand lots of places are unstaffed, but a simple Hi, ill be with you shortly would be polite. I would not visit this restaurant again!

The hostess seemed less than interested to be greeting guests. I felt like we were a burden. The waitress was so busy with a large table it took 40 minutes to just get water and a glass of wine. There were several other waitresses with smaller tables that could have easily taken our small table. Some of our side food choices were never brought. The appetizer was not pleasing to the eye and looked like it had been prepared earlier and reheated in the microwave. The main dishes tasted fine, my son did enjoy his steak. Just really disappointed in the entire experience. While I waitress was polite, we felt u welcomed overall.

Waited over an hour for our food. Reservations were for 1:15 and didn’t get our main dishes till after 2:20. Asked numerous times how much longer for the food and was told about 10 min each time. The place only had about 2 other tables besides for us so there was no excuse for poor service and long wait time. Waiter was less than enthused and could not even keep our drinks filled during our long wait. Food was nothing overly great and the whole experience was a waste of our time.

Just horrible!!! Service was terrible. Our waiter was barely present. Forgot to bring food, our food and drinks kept getting delivered to the wrong table. We had to wait over 15 minutes for our waters and first round of drinks to be delivered. One of appetizers was forgotten, small plates were not delivered when appetizers arrived. Every time our waiter dropped off food, he turned and walked away. He never once asked if we needed anything or how everything was. This was a terrible experience for my husband and my dad on Father’s Day.
