The Tap Room 223 - Guthrie

I live in the Heights of Houston, TX, which is a pricey area, yet I have never paid more than $8 for a Guinness before! While they may have high distribution costs, I feel strongly that if a beer is priced more than double the cost of other beers on the menu, that should be clearly communicated to customers. The beer list didn’t display any prices, and I didn’t expect any price gouging in Guthrie, Oklahoma. It felt like a setup! As I mentioned at the beginning, I left with a very bad taste in my mouth and I won't be returning the next time I'm in Guthrie.

The dinner was fantastic, and the pecan dish was delightful. I only realized after finishing my meal that there was another side of the building filled with dessert displays.

Everything was great! They have an extensive beer selection, delicious food, and excellent service. The atmosphere is really nice, fitting perfectly with the charm of the old town. Plus, it's very kid-friendly!
