The Londesborough - Hackney

We celebrated our daughter's birthday at this restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The food was fantastic and the service was top-notch. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place.

My cousin rented The Londesborough for her wedding and it did not disappoint. Being able to choose which meal you'd like from a number of options for starter/main was a surprise and the food was truly delicious. The setup was perfect and everyone could hear/see for speeches etc. A really lovely day.

We made a reservation for 3 people for a Sunday roast, but when we arrived, we were told we had been given a table for 2 with an extra chair squeezed in. The waiting staff remarked on the small table size and offered us another table that was already occupied by a couple (also a 2 person table). There was a 4 person table available, which we requested to sit at instead, but were told that they would lose business if they seated 3 people at a 4 seater table. After continued argument with 3 different staff members, we were finally seated at the 4 seater table that had been available since our arrival. There was no apology given and we were told we were being difficult. Despite the good food, the overall experience was enough to make us think twice about coming back.

We held our wedding at this venue and we were thrilled with the party atmosphere it provided! The venue itself is stunning, well-maintained, and spacious with a funky vibe. They decorated with bunting and fairy lights that added to the special ambiance. We opted for finger food instead of a sit-down meal, and it was delicious and plentiful, served in three servings throughout the event. Our guests raved about the food. The venue also provides a wedding planner, Amber, who was incredibly helpful and attentive from the moment we booked until the day of the event. She offered great advice and support, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. We couldn't have asked for a better location for our London wedding reception. Thank you to the Londesborough for exceeding our expectations. If you're considering this venue, don't hesitate - it's worth it!

In the West Midlands we say bostin , the Welsh might say crackin . Don 't know about down south but this was a proper Sunday roast dinner. Across the group we sampled pork, beef and chicken dinners but it was clean plates and full tummies all round, just enough room for a dessert of course. Recommended. Good value.
