La Botana - Hagerman

These are the best asada tacos I have ever had, definitely worth the trip to try them. The asado is made with traditional red chili and is absolutely amazing. The menu offers a variety of interesting options to choose from.

I always make a point to stop at this restaurant on my way to Roswell or Albuquerque. The food is consistently excellent, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is very inviting. I highly recommend trying their One Dozen Tamales and Burrito dishes.

The overall experience was great, but the flavor of the menudo and the shrimp cocktail could use some improvement. The service was top-notch, dining in for breakfast was a pleasant experience. The price per person ranged from $10 to $20. The food scored a 4, service a 5, and atmosphere a 5. I would recommend trying the Barbacoa and Asado Verde dishes.

I visited La Botana while in Chicago and was looking for authentic Mexican cuisine. I was not disappointed. The asada burrito and Al Pastor taco were absolutely delicious. The use of pepper sauce was outstanding and unique to the region. The location was wonderful, with a homey and honest atmosphere. There was plenty of parking available and lots of space for kids to play. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with a flat area and no need for a ramp. I had dinner here and would highly recommend it.
