Kaikoubo - Hakodate

Food was amazing. Very friendly staff. Nice ambience.

Loved it. Had Assorted tempura, crab gratin, squid tempura, uni-ikura-don and crab fried rice.. The food was delicious. The fishes, crab, ikura (salmon eggs and squid were really fresh and mechha Oishi (super tasty .. The service was also really great. Were not good at speaking Japanese but the helpful behaviour made the experience quite smooth. Highly recommended.

Abit pricey but the quality of the seafood here was ok. Something special here called sea pineapple..abit too “sea smell” but the taste is ok. Tried fresh squid too and is nice.

Good restaurant with fresh seafood near JR station, large seating area.. dishes are smaller but great uni with rice dish and seafood

Visit from the previous year . . . . results and authority! although kaikoubo attracts many foreign and local tourist, the restaurant still holds a very authentic Japanese seafood quality. this is the harbour area, kaikoubo offers a wide selection of seafood menu, from simple appetizers to serious fresh fish and crabs. should come as early, although as we arrived at 20.00h some selections already ran. we started with simple crabs sashimi, grilled squid, souligel . . and the way they cut and serve very elegant. we ordered the love combo and it was amazing, it came with different love in small glasses! we arrived late and most tourist already left, only Japanese customers there and that made the ambiente much more cozy and authentic.
