This pub is one of the best real ale establishments in the Midlands and is widely recognized as one of the most renowned in the UK. They offer 12 different beers at any given time, all of excellent quality. The landlord, Bob, is also a legendary figure among beer enthusiasts.

Since the renovation in March/April, this pub has significantly improved. The beer remains excellent, but now the restrooms are conveniently located indoors rather than being accessed through the beer cellar! Additionally, the pork pies are also quite delicious.

This pub is a simple, traditional establishment, but that's where the simplicity ends. The selection of ales, spirits, wines, and bar snacks (including pickled eggs) is truly impressive, along with a variety of homemade traditional dishes. The bar staff possess extensive knowledge about the offerings and are clearly enthusiasts of real ale themselves. They are friendly, courteous, and very approachable. The clientele is equally knowledgeable and welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere devoid of any troublemakers or unsavory characters. Overall, it leads to an exceptional experience.
