La Piazza - Half Moon Bay

Stopped by for some treats. Definitely well-stocked bakery. The cookies were delicious. They lady behind the counter definitely either didn't want to be there or really didn't care at all, but it's hard to find good help these days. Prices seemed a bit high for a basic cookie, but maybe that's a combo of California and 2022 inflation. Overall still think it was worth the visit.

While strolling down the center of town, it became obvious, things had changed , some shops had closed, a few of our favorites, hours of business had shortened, so, it was a very pleasant surprise, to find Moonside Bakery open. With Social Distancing a concern, the outdoor seating and that in the open area of the complex, allowed us to feel comfortable. Missing what was used to be a short trip over the mountain for fresh air, espresso and something sweet , we had our standard, a Latte, hot, with just enough froth, a strong double espresso, and a slice of their moist Blueberry Cake/Bread. Of course, we were tempted by their other goodies but will leave those to you. If you 're in the area, spend a day in Half Moon Bay, grab lunch/Dinner and a nice Espresso at Moonside!

I stopped by this place while strolling down the roads of half moon bay city. It looked like a very warm and cozy cafe. They serve wood fired pizza, and it is delicious. I didn’t like their coffee much. But it wasn’t bad.

This is located right along the west side of the main street going through Half-Moon Bay. There is parking out front on the street. The restaurant is a bakery. You order and pay at the counter. The staff was very nice. We ordered breakfast. The food was very good. There are a few tables inside but more in the atrium behind the store. It’s a very interesting inside courtyard. The food was good, thr pieces were reasonable and the staff was nice. A good place to eat in this area.
