Il Mercato Cafe Wine - Hallandale Beach

I ordered takeout, and while it was a bit on the pricey side, the food was generally good. Out of the five dishes, two were satisfactory, so I decided to give it four stars. I probably won't order takeout from here again, but I would like to try dining in one day. Just a heads up, the portion sizes aren't very large.

I finally got the opportunity to dine at Mercato last night with my sister, baby niece, brother-in-law, and friends. First off, the chef, Emily, is incredibly talented—I had the fish of the day, and it was grilled to perfection. The dish came with roasted potatoes and sautéed spinach, and it was absolutely delicious. The owner, who is Emily's husband, was very kind and welcoming. We also enjoyed a fantastic bottle of Rioja wine. I will definitely be returning (fingers crossed) to try the pasta dishes. This place is a true hidden gem, which are often the best spots to eat!

The food was outstanding, and the service was equally impressive. I commend them for maximizing the use of their surroundings, which reminded me of the evening pop-up restaurants found in French villages. It would be lovely to enhance the outdoor atmosphere a bit more, but the new chairs are definitely much more comfortable. Thank you!

Everything tasted great. Grilled artichokes, Pappardelle mushroom, and Lamb rack. Great service.

We went to the restaurant with high expectations because it was highly recommended. The food was terrible, the star dish which is the eggplant parmesan were nothing else but stewed eggplant in tomato sauce . The pasta sauce were a canned tomatoes pasta sauce with lots of capers... not a real recently cooked meal. Don't bother going there if you really want a taste of Italian food.
