Edel Curry - Hamburg

The food was awesome, the staff were helpful, even though we don't speak German, and it was cheap. I would recommend this to anyone passing through Hamburg looking for a quick and easy meal.

This is a simple little café in Hamburg. It is great if you want to stop off for a snack but don't want to wait too long. Their menu is simple - mostly bratwurst/currywurst and chips. You can have beer and wine with the food. We had some nice pinot grigio and whilst there isn't much to choose from, what they have is good quality and staff are pleasant.

Edel Curry is a place where you can actually sit down and enjoy a currywurst comfortably. I went there this afternoon and seemed to be the only tourist. I ordered a currywurst, small fries and a coleslaw. All the food was tasty and it's a filling meal. Their homemade sauce tasted a little different from the traditional sauce of the snack bars on the street. It tasted good too though I prefer the traditional sauce. I also tried Alsterwasser, a beer lemonade, for the first time. Overall, good food in a comfortable setting with good service. Recommended.

Lovely food, very quick service, staff are friendly. First time eating currywurst and it was lovely!

Great way to have fast food - i.e. Curry wurst and French fries. At table service with drinks. Very tasty food and staff very friendly. For those that don't like Curry Wurst there is a bratwurst alternative.
