August 8 - Hamilton

Have had two terrible experiences at August 8 in the recent months. Calamari overcooked and coating was so crispy you couldn't bite it. The tablet system of ordering leaves no personal interaction.After many years of good experience, I won't be back to any location. ;

Food is decent and consistent. Service is usually good. Free parking is difficult to get but there are meters on the adjacent side street that are usually available. It's often noisy so try and get a booth in the front of the restaurant as the larger tables are in the back. I don't eat sushi so can't comment on that but the beef ribs and chicken skewers are probably my faviorites and the sticky rice is the most disappointing dish to me.

This is an awesome Japanese buffet in Hamilton. If you are a sushi fan, this is the place for you. Clean and well kept with great service. This visit was our second trip with family and we have never been disappointed. Also pretty neat to order the food with an I-pad and have it delivered to the table. The food is delicious and reasonably priced...would not hesitate to go there again

Very good food except service could be improved. I took my son and there for lunch at 3:00 after the movies and had to rush through lunch as it ends at 3:30 then they jack the price up for dinner starting at 3:30. In my opinion dinner shouldn't start until at least 4:00 pm. We had a little left over and they charged us an additional 18.00 to take the rest home. Not impressed. If it wasn't for the good food I probably wouldn't go back.

My Aunt and Uncle turned me on to this place and I just love it. It is always good. One time I was there and the power went out and they did not miss a beat. They just put more candles out. The service is good and the selections are great. I have only ordered the all you can eat dinner that had both sushi and some Dim sum dishes. We have never had any complaints about the quality of food. I am from Buffalo NY and a place like this does not exist there so it is a real treat. I know there are other places around town similar but I do like this place the best (so far.) It is within walking distance to my families house so that makes it a no brainer as well.There is a parking lot but it is pretty small. Give it a try!
