Joy Inn Restaurant & Tavern - Hamilton

Started ordering here a few weeks ago after we had people over who recommended itSince then we've ordered from there about 4x.

The food was your typical Chinese takeout. I did notice that the quality of their meat was better than average. I liked the Lemon Chicken.

What is wrong with the chicken today. Chicken ball tough..chicken in the moo goo guy pan. Tough Never ever had chicken like that before ...will not be buying from there again

For years we used to order from the Joy Inn down on Aberdeen in Hamilton and it was delicioius!This Joy Inn on Ottawa street is just as good! Some of my favourite dishes are the chicken fried rice, chicken balls, dried garlic spareribs, jardoo chicken wings. During the week if you spend so much you can get wings, chowmein or fortune cookies for free with your order. I think you get a discount as well (not holidays) if you pay by cash and it's over a certain amount.Parking - there isn't a lot to pull into but I've had no problem getting a meter right out front.A definite must for your chinese food craving!

I just wanted to mention that the first review has the wrong restaurant . This is not the former LaChinos, and this Joy Inn is on Ottwaw st, not down town.I am not one to write negative reviews but tonight my husband and I just has the worse Chinese food we have ever eatin. I had the Joy Inn special wonton. The wontons were like balls of glue, the chicken was slimy,the mushroom were old. And there was no flavour to the broth.My husband had one diner A, it tasted like it had been microwaved.
