While the workers there are always friendly and the store itself is nicely decorated and arranged, the prices you 'll pay for something as simple as pasta or olive oil will make your jaw drop. I always check it out whenever I 'm in Peddler 's Village, but still have yet to buy anything. I understand their rent must be through the roof, but prices are outrageous.
Love this place! It has humongous variety of 'everything ' italian food you can think of. We loved the choices we had in terms of pasta, balsamic vinaigrette, coffee, pasta sauces and cheeses. Its a heaven for foodies. On top of it all, the owner is a fantastic person. He diligently and sincerely answered all our questions, helped us with choices and also give his opinions on what would suit our palate the best. We loved shopping here. The owner is a v warm and considerate person. You cant go wrong shopping here. We will come back here
BEWARE of almost 100% markup! I purchased a 12 year balsamic for $40 this weekend (Gocce by Terra del Tuono) and thought it seemed excessive in pricing. Upon returning home I was able to find it for $25.95 at Italian Specialties. I contacted the owner to inquire about a price adjustment since it's almost double the cost to no avail. I realize folks at Peddlers Village are small businesses that require a mark-up for profitability, however, there needs to be a realization of fair consumer pricing. This will be my last purchase with Casa Casale. I wanted to share broadly both with friends and other unsuspecting visitors.
My wife and I love this place! The olive oil is the best and all the samples of pasta and sauces are always great tasting! Very friendly staff and helpful when you need to ask a question
A favorite of mine in Peddlers Village. Every year I travel from the NJ shore to visit for apple fest. The pasta selection is one of the best I have ever seen. Everything is imported from Italy. This weekend they has tastings. Pecorino cheese and wildfire bleu cheese were both out of this world. Goat cheese stuffed olives come in a delicious and reusable oil. The staff is very helpful and friendly here. Pricing is a little out of line compared to the Italian market or stores in Manhattan, but it is a specialty store in the New Hope area. I love everything about the store! Thanks for being so helpful and informative!
