Bidra med feedbackThe gray geese never disappoints. The food is absolutely delicious! When we went through the door Destiny our server) reminded us of our previous visit. Up to our food allergy and delivered us the special service we needed to make this an unforgettable moment. Would I recommend The Grey Goose, absolutely! Brunch: Shrimp and Grits/Belle Isle Lavender Lemonade
The tomatoes for the fried green tomatoes were hard and flavorless with too much of the pimento and jam on top to taste anything else. The steak in the poutine was cubed, and half of it had so much fat and grisel it was not edible. The sweet potato fries were all soggy. The steak meal had some kind of corn bread mash that was, let 's just say interesting. The pickled, deviled eggs were made from store bought hard boiled eggs and all together had a horrible taste. Left behind most of what we purchased with $150 bill. We were in there during the tattoo festival, around 4, and there was one other table with guests if that gives an idea of what you 're in for. Re: owner reply I have grown my own green tomatoes, picked them, and fried them. Not my first go at cooking or eating a fried green tomato. Unripe or not, you can pick a green tomato when it is too green. There was no confusion, the cubes of cornbread were not cubes, it was mush. I would have been able to address the issues if I did not have to go to the front of the restaurant, where our waitress was on her phone, to even pay the check. When I was asked if we wanted boxes, and said no, it might have been a hint that things weren 't great had she dropped the check off at the table since we left over half of each dish and my husband didn 't eat any of one of the dishes he ordered.
We visited Grey Goose to celebrate my friend's birthday. Lunch was amazing!! I had the motherclucker with side salad and honey poppy dressing. The burger was also tasty
Great atmosphere; well crafted local feel. The decor is distinct, playful, even joyful. The staff are s delightful and attentive. The food is a clever take on local flavors. I tried the Market to Market: soup, salad, ham biscuit, choice of cookie. The Brunswick stew was, IMO ideal. I scraped the bowl. The salad was so fresh, cold, and crisp. Flawless. I think the biscuit was oil, not shortening. The texture was divine: so light and soft. What a delight to make a selection from the bakery case. It was not fast. I settled on the lemon cooler (a large cookie). I?d return for that, but there are many other enticing treats, I may need two.
Great atmosphere. Very welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious!! We got the appetizer cheese board, my husband ordered the Grey Goose Burger and I got the Grey Goose Turkey BLT! Not to mention we went on a beautiful day so we got to enjoy their outdoor dining area : Highly recommend checking them out if you?re ever in the downtown Hampton area!
