Bidra med feedbackJust a hop, skip and jump from Pavilion and the main train station, this Imbiss style restaurant serves the best schawarma (sliced chicken or lamb) in Hanover. Frequented by business men, house wives and school kids equally, this is on my must stop list when I am in Hanover. The shop is small, but open and airy, and is very clean. They have 15 tables that seat 4 each. Unlike other similar style restaurants, they try to go the extra mile with red and white checkered table cloths. The staff is superb friendly and helpful. They are dedicated to making sure that your experience is a great one. I speak only a little German, but the staff speaks pretty good English. From the time that you enter the door, to the time that you leave, you will feel like you are among friends. The prices here are excellent and the portions are big. The most expensive thing on the menu is only 6.50 euro. I think that the average meal is only 3.50 euro and will surely fill you up. The food....ah the food. It is some of the best felafel and schwarma I have had since the Middle East. The flavor literally explodes in your mouth on the first bite. I am not sure what they put on the meat, but it is amazing with just the right blend of spices. I can't recommend this place enough if you want an amazing, well priced lunch or dinner. It's not fancy, but it hits the spot.
The Döner is very good and tasty. The Shawarma Roll is also very delicious. You have the choice between 3 sauces, yogurt, garlic and curry that I prefer. The price has now risen to 4 Euros, but this is justified by the Döner. One disadvantage is that people put different meats and the sauce, depending on what makes the döner, is sometimes less than usual.
We tried the shwarma there, and even for German not Arabic standards it lacked definetily not the right spices, and the garlic sauce متومة tastes bitter
Serve halal food... run by Lebanese.. big portion for Asian.. food is tasty
