Cafe 42 - Hannover

Hier kann man wunderbar gemütlich frühstücken - problemlos auch noch zur Mittagszeit. Wir teilten uns ein italienisches Frühstück mit rohem und gekochtem Schinken, Butter, Frischkäse und Himbeermarmelade. Zusätzlich noch weitere Brötchen, ein Bio-Ei, Weichkäse und Honig. Die Bio-Brötchen von der Kleinen Bäckerei ganz in der Nähe sind herrlich saftig und alles andere frisch und sehr lecker. Der mit biologisch angebautem und fair gehandeltem Espresso zubereitete Cappuccino wird hier in wunderbar altmodischen Tassen mit Goldrand serviert und schmeckt super. Ansonsten möchte ich noch die herrlich entspannte Atmosphäre und die überaus sauberen Toiletten hervorheben. Die vom Chef selbst gebackenen Kuchen sehen übrigens toll aus. Wir müssen unbedingt wieder kommen.

Auf der suche nach einem netten cafe in unserer nähe sind wir auf das cafe 42 gestoßen. Im nachhinein bin ich super froh. Es hätte nicht besser sein können. Die einrichtung ist mit viel liebe für details ausgesucht bzw hergestellt wurden. Ein beispiel: Kaffeekannen als lampenschirme. Sehr hell alles und jeder sitzplatz ist individuell. Wir haben uns für tee entschieden. Eine riesen auswahl an wirklich klasse und gutem tee. Zudem selbstgemachter kuchen. Ich war begeistert. Für all das ist ein mann verantwortlich. Ich wünsche alles gute für die zukunft und hoffe auf erfolg und viele gäste. Als kleiner tipp noch .... zu den ganzen individuellen dingen könnten sammeltassen passen ;-) Weiter so

Great teas (even REAL green teas - sencha, mate etc), nice and helpful staff and delicious hot cakes in a stylish retro atmosphere!

I came across Café 42 quite by chance, while staying in Asternstrasse in the Herrenhauser Garten district, near the Leibnitz University's Institute of Inorganic Chemistry. The proprietor, Holger, opened his café only a few months ago (as at April 2016). The corner site at a quiet junction provides a very nice meeting place for locals and visitors. Indoors, all is light and the decor unusual, with two main rooms housing well-spaced tables and chairs. Outside, there are now chairs and tables on a deck and on the pavement outside the entrance. There are several parks and gardens nearby. On-street parking is usually to be found.A charming and courteous host, Holger speaks English and German and is an interesting conversationalist. He offers super coffee, light breakfasts, beer, soft drinks and delicious homemade bread and cakes (he bakes on-site). There is gentle background music and a wide range of German-language newspapers is provided.The toilets are immaculate.The café is a 5-minute walk from the Schneiderberg/Wilhelm Busch Museum tram stop on Line 5 (the route from the city centre to Stocken). The Engelbosteller Damm shops are less than 10 minutes away, and here you can catch a tram at the Kopernikusstrasse U-bahn station on Line 6 (the route from the city centre to Nordhafen). Both tram lines serve Kropcke, a major U-bahn hub in the city centre, a short walk from Hannover's Hauptbahnhof (main railway station).Café 42 already has a loyal and growing customer-base, with both German and English-speaking patrons.
